Spencer Grammer, the celebrated voice of Summer Smith on Rick and Morty, is bridging the gap between the screen and the stage with her musical project, Belle and Chain. Blending “goth-Americana” with Western-tinged rock, the band has announced a massive 24-date North American spring tour supporting British singer-songwriter Barns Courtney.
The tour is a victory lap for a project born out of profound personal resilience, following Grammer’s recovery from a 2020 injury that led her to the guitar as a form of rehabilitation. Alongside multi-instrumentalist and songwriting partner Davis IL, Grammer is ready to introduce their “cinematic” sound to the masses.

The Debut Single: “Don’t You Worry Babe”
Arriving April 9, 2026, via Notes From The Underground/Not Dead Yet Media, the debut single is the cornerstone of the Belle and Chain identity.
- The Sound: Shimmering textures, breathy vocals, and a “Western gothic” aesthetic.
- The Origin: The track’s distinctive cinematic sound actually inspired the band’s name, acting as the blueprint for the entire project.
From Screen to Sound: Spencer Grammer’s Journey
While Grammer is a fixture in the artistic world—raised by a Broadway dancer mother and a legendary TV actor father—music became her sanctuary in 2024.
- Trauma to Triumph: After a 2020 attack left her with severed tendons in her arm, playing guitar was encouraged as part of her nerve rehabilitation.
- Collaborative Spirit: Grammer credits the partnership with Davis IL for elevating the project from a solo alias into a high-energy, collaborative live band.
