Nashville, Tenn. (August 11th, 2020) – Maryland native, MNERVAcelebrates success with debut single “Geek” by releasing official remix featuring fellow Nashville-based rapper Z. Smith. You can stream the official release on all digital platforms.

Back in February I finally released my first single “Geek” and the response was so much better than I ever could have expected! Before the shutdown, I was playing drums for my friend Z. Smith and, when he heard the original, he absolutely loved it and wanted to write a verse for the track. That’s when I first thought about doing a remix so I hit up my friend Bears Takes Manhattan and his reimagining of the song blew my mind,” explains MNERVA. “I’ve always loved the energy of EDM and combining that with what I do as MNERVA went so much better than I ever expected. Bears is an exceptional producer and his originality and willingness to take risks really shines through on this track. Plus Z. murdered his verse so I just us to put this remix out!

In 2020, MNERVA hit the music scene with one goal, to turn the conventional wisdom of hip hop on its head. With his witty lyrics, sharp punchlines, and quirky production, MNERVA has forged his own lane in Hip Hop by fusing his rock, trap, and musical theatre influences into a cohesive sound.

Originally hailing from Germantown, Maryland, MNERVA moved to Nashville in 2015 to hone his craft and became a part of the Nashville music scene by playing drums for various pop artists. He also improved his artistry by writing a jukebox musical based on the catalog of one of his biggest influences, Twenty One Pilots, and released a trailer of the show earlier this year to viral success. In February, MNERVA released his debut single, “Geek,” and the song amassed over 70,000 organic streams on Spotify.
