The beautiful song was written by Juniper Waller and Billy D. Thompson and produced by two-time Grammy-winning recording artist and songwriter, Timothy Bloom. “True Blue” is available now via all steaming and digital platforms.

“True Blue is inspired by the uncertainty and complexity of love. It juxtaposes the embrace of individual needs with the reach for romantic depth. The song’s rich vocals are complimented by a dreamlike soundscape which moves between minimal and lush textures, reinforcing the song’s competing ideals,” mentions Juniper, front-woman of the band. The single is lifted from the band’s forthcoming album, due later this year.

About The Gold Souls

The Gold Souls

The Gold Souls are bringing the driving grooves of funk, the rich textures of soul, and the compelling storytelling of the blues to the Northern California scene and beyond. Drawing from a variety of influences and experiences, they deliver compelling lyrics and fresh arrangements over a vintage sound. The Gold Souls are known for producing innovative and captivating original music that rings true to the idioms that inspire them.

Led by the dynamic Juniper Waller, the group is made up of young talent hailing from the Bay and Sacramento areas. With Matt Hevesh on guitar, Alex Severson on the keys, Billy D. Thompson on the drums, and Jace Dorn on bass, each member has a hand in writing and song composition, making The Gold Souls a truly collaborative effort.

The group burst on the Sacramento music scene in early 2017, and are swiftly becoming one of the most promising new talents in the area. They released a self- titled five-song original EP and went on their first tour down the California coast soon after. Their single, “Nobody,” was released in late 2017 and was featured on Apple Music Blues’ Hot Tracks list. The Gold Souls released their newest single, Silver Tongue, with their first music video, a dizzying jaunt around the city of Sacramento in their ’94 Chevy van. They then released their full length album “Good To Feel” on June 22, 2018.

This past summer The Gold Souls played the prestigious Concerts in the Park in Downtown Sacramento. Their new single, “True Blue” is now digitally available on all platforms.
