Los Angeles-based rock artist  Blace has released his very first single, “Crash and Burn,” an emotional track triggering a wave of 2000s pop-punk nostalgia.

The song showcases a vocally strong first verse and dives headfirst into an exciting and high-energy chorus perfect for screaming in the car. At first listen, “Crash and Burn” sounds like your typical pop-punk banger that you might hear at Warped Tour in 2010, however, a deeper dive into the lyrics uncovers Blace’s expert songwriting skills. Explaining his real-life experiences of staying in a grueling relationship despite the pain, Blace opens himself up to his audience in hopes that they’ve felt those feelings too.

“‘Crash and Burn’ was a song I wrote a few years ago. This is a special song, and I knew I wanted to release it. It is very relatable in the sense that lots of people have experienced or are still experiencing being in a difficult relationship with someone who makes their life harder. And even though they are in turmoil, they still choose to stick around.” – Blace

Growing up, Blace always loved music; even his name is a combination of Blackie Lawless from WASP and Ace Frehley from KISS. He finally got the opportunity to begin his music career, songwriting, and taking acting classes a few years ago when he was sent home from college due to the pandemic. Blace is a talented songwriter who truly believes in making music with real meaning behind it while blending in the fun and upbeat nature of classic rock instrumentals. His very first single, “Crash and Burn,” is a versatile song that you can listen to to get over your breakup or to headbang to in your car.
