Vylet creates emotive dream-pop that is both nostalgic, yet futuristic and is aesthetically driven by her love of depictions of powerful, outlandish women that she grew up observing in the fashion editorials from W and Vogue.

Speaking on the release, Vylet describes that “‘i know you’ve thought of us’ is a dark pop song evoking a mysterious, otherworldly femme fatale.  I’m somewhat introspective as I observe a retro-futuristic old Hollywood of silhouetted palm trees and glowing phones. I played with ethereal synths to capture the sparkly, eternally sunny nature of LA tinged with darkness.”

“Vylet uses dream pop to incubate her self-expression, delivering it with great emotion and intense tones that’ll cut through you like a sharp blade, despite seeming blunt to begin with.” – The Line of Best Fit

“Vylet combines vulnerable, meditative lyrics with minimalist instruments to craft a beautiful, dreamy circuitry that washes over us in waves of colossal emotion.” –Atwood Magazine

Drawing from her childhood musical inspirations – such as Chopin and Imogen Heap – California-born Vylet delivers her next single ‘i know you’ve thought of us’.

About Vylet

Raised in central California, Vylet was drawn to depictions of powerful, outlandish women in the fashion editorials from W and Vogue. At a young age she bought a one-way ticket to Paris where she worked craigslist jobs and interned in photo studios on fashion shoots. As soon as Vylet started composing songs on a toy keyboard, she began combining her love of fashion imagery with classically-influenced electronic pop. Collaborating with like-minded artists, Vylet arranges sound and glossy imagery to depict the melodramatic femme fatales that fascinated her as a young girl.
