New Jersey based singer-songwriter, Eric Sleeper, has released his newest single, Son Of A Gun.
Referencing his own internal struggles of chasing an uncertain path, the track grasps fans attention with compelling lyrics and the incentive to reflect on their own struggles. The hard-hitting lyrics of the song are beautifully contrasted with bright guitar riffs that offer a sense of optimism. Bending genres in a mesmerizing way, the track embodies acoustic rock, singer-songwriter, and folk sounds. Fans have joined together in unity as a result from the song to support and encourage one another’s dreams.

Beginning his musical career at 14 years old, Eric quickly learned the guitar and MIDI keyboard but instantly gravitated towards songwriting. Taking inspiration from the likes of Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, Elliot Smith and Bon Iver, Eric values their minimalistic approach to songwriting. Embodying a dreamy ambience, Eric derived his stage name “Eric Sleeper” from that thought, which is equally portrayed and proven through his music. Fans have much to look forward to as Eric prepares to release his debut album in the near future.
