“‘Happy In This Bar’ was inspired by my own personal experiences of going through the motions of meeting others’ expectations of who I am. It’s the inner dialogue of feeling the constant need to fit into the “life of the party” mold that I created for myself. So instead, I go through the motions of meeting others’ expectations of who I am. I hope people listen to the song and find comfort in relation, while also feeling encouraged to walk away from compromising their actual wants.”
