A man of few words is one common statement about Ben Brookes Belcher. Ben is a singer songwriter/guitarist from Atlanta, GA. As a self supporting artist/musician he has an independent record label and recording studio in the basement of his home in Atlanta called “The Shack”. The label is “Timberwolf Records “. Ben needed a way to produce and release his own material. Since the music business is “age biased”, and no major label was going to sign an artist at his age. Ben also wanted to be able to help other artists reach their goals.

Can you tell me one favorite humorous story from your career?

There are many but…I thought that if you toured all over the country playing anywhere and everywhere that someone would discover you and sign you up for a recording contract! Now that was funny…

Give us some details about a typical day in the life of *YOU*

I get up..hopefully!Walk the dog for a mile or two. Make a protein drink. Make a list. Knock out my list if I can. Practice or try to write a song. Work in the studio if I have a project and go back to the first thing…hopefully.

How do you evaluate the human resource factor as an inseparable part of your success?

Great people around you is your biggest asset

What is one piece of unconventional advice that you disagree with most strongly?

Trying to make a living as a gigging musician is just crazy and not sustainable especially as you age. Then when you are older you have no other skills and you’re a burden to someone or worse. Seen
it…many times.

What is the most useless talent you have?

I can ride a horse well

Do you sing in the shower?

What songs? Never

If you were to write an autobiography, what would the title be?

Hillbilly KIng

What was the last thing you dressed up as for fancy dress?

Suit and tie

You are a new addition to a crayon box. What color would you be and why?

Black.. goes with anything

If someone was going to make your life into a movie, who would play you?

Jeff Bridges

What historical Figure would you love to see in 21st century life? King David
