Laundry met in the University of Oregon dorms in the fall of 2017 and quickly began making waves in the underground music scenes of Portland and Eugene. The band blends elements of dream pop, surf rock, and art pop to create their signature sound: sparkly guitar, strong beats, and dense harmonies between the three lead singers. Their upcoming album, ‘Movie Star’ is Laundry’s most ambitious project to date, showcasing the band’s ability to mix melodic pop songs with virtuosic instrumental performances in a concise twenty-five-minute package. ‘Don’t You Dare’ is the first single from the upcoming project, as well as the introduction to the world of ‘Movie Star’.

Hi! please introduce yourself

Hello! We are Laundry (Riley, Cal, Kiki, and Nik).

What first got you into music?

This is different for all of us, but we all started playing our instruments pretty young (single digits) with a lot of support from our parents. We have a lot of different influences, but we can all agree on Abbey Road by The Beatles 🙂

If you could open a show for any artist, who would it be?

Kiki would say Phoebe Bridgers, Riley would say King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Nik would say Tame Impala, Cal would say Travis Scott.

What would you be doing right now if you weren’t pushing a music career?

Dying inside. Haha. Nah, probably just grinding a 9 to 5 or finishing up college. We’re really not sure, it would be different for everyone, and it’s so far removed from our reality it’s hard to imagine.

What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Don’t let the man get you down, man.

What are your top two favorite albums of all time? why?

Abbey Road by The Beatles and… Well, that’s about the only one we all agree on. Haha.

If you were to write an autobiography about the band, what would the title be?

Laundry: a tale of four lawn dawgs

What’s the last tv show y’all watched?

Avatar: The Last Airbender

If you could ask your future self-one question, what would it be?

Did we make it?

What’s your favorite board game?

Catan, we play this one together!!

What’s your favorite children’s story?

The Little Prince.
