Rising Nashville artist Cash Crawford returns with her timely and empowering new single, “Mistakes.” With her signature blend of grit and vulnerability, Cash confronts the complicated truth about messing up — and how those moments often become the foundation for growth, resilience, and self‑love.

Across the track, Cash delivers a powerhouse vocal performance, pouring her heart into every line. Her journey of self‑acceptance continues to unfold as she explores how failure can become a catalyst for transformation. Instead of shame, she offers a message of compassion — encouraging listeners to see their mistakes as second chances rather than dead ends.

In a world quick to “cancel” rather than understand, Cash pushes back with honesty and fire. “I won’t hesitate. So don’t you make me wait… we are just the chances we take. Make some mistakes.” She explains, “Mistakes is a song I’m really proud of. Not only did I get to showcase what my voice can do, but I also got to speak my mind about cancel culture.”

Her previous single, “Save Myself”, earned rave reviews and a feature on CMT Online for its raw honesty and message of embracing imperfections. Cash admits she initially hesitated about the lyric “make some mistakes,” but co-writer Don Miggs helped her see its power. “Mistakes are good,” she says. “They’re how we grow.”

With her gypsy‑southern‑rock edge, Cash leans into the idea that life is full of fresh starts. “They’re healthy,” she adds. “As long as you learn from them, they help you grow. They’re not grounds for being canceled. The only canceling we should be doing is canceling cancel culture.”

Instead of running from the past, Cash tells a story of facing it head‑on — acknowledging that hiding from your mistakes doesn’t change them. As society shifts and values evolve, she continues to grow as an artist and a woman, embracing the mindset that every misstep has led her exactly where she needs to be.

With more than two decades in the industry, Cash Crawford is no stranger to reinvention. She has earned Rising Star, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Song of the Year nominations, and won Best Singer‑Songwriter at the Toronto Indie Music Awards in both 2012 and 2013. In 2019, she released “Stevie”, a tribute to her idol Stevie Nicks, and earlier this year she dropped “Save Myself.” Now, she’s ready to share “Mistakes” with the world on Friday, October 21st.

About Cash Crawford

For more than 20 years, Cash Crawford has carved out a place in the music industry as a powerhouse vocalist, songwriter, and entertainer. Raised in rural Pritchard, Canada, she and her sister Sadie sang everywhere — from the driveway to Sunday church. In 2008, Cash competed on Canadian Idol, making it to the third round before the televised portion of the show.

She later toured across Canada as half of the duo Beyond the Mountain with Theo Tams, earning the Toronto Independent Music Award for Singer‑Songwriter of the Year in 2012. Alongside performing, Cash worked as a voice actor and continued writing solo material, earning multiple nominations for Rising Star, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Since moving to Nashville in 2016, Cash has continued to refine her craft. In 2019, she released “Stevie,” written with David Tolliver, and has since been collaborating with producer Don Miggs. Known for her ability to shift effortlessly between soft, emotive vocals and powerhouse belts, Cash draws comparisons to artists like Patsy Cline, Stevie Nicks, Ellie Goulding, Taylor Swift, Adele, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, and Carrie Underwood.
