A fresh mix of electronic rock with a few drops of synth pop are the secret ingredients of the Vancouver-based band, OurGlassZoo.

The group teamed up with JUNO Award-winning hip hop veteran, Prevail, on their new track “Free,” inspired by a conversation about equality and the world needing more love and healing during these pressing times.

Free” blends genres, taking influence from hip hop, soul, and rock in understated verses that highlight Prevail‘s verses.

The impassioned chorus descends into a laidback swing as OurGlassZoo delivers the hook, free yourself, oh free yourself, we’ve been trapped here in the middle. Free yourself, oh free yourself, we’ve been stuck here in this riddle.

“We all need to be open to change but remember that we are all human beings,” says the band. “It will take time until we reach full equality, so let’s keep moving forward with mutual respect, love, and kindness.”
