Rising south London artist Tyrxne is back with a brand-new single, “Red”, set to captivate listeners with its urban and gritty vibes.
Known for blending rap and R&B into a dark, fascinating aesthetic, Tyrxne has been making waves since his debut in 2021 and spent 2022 collaborating with renowned artists like Little Torment and R.A. Now, he’s taking centre stage in 2023 with a series of powerful releases, the latest being “Red”, which is accompanied by a visually stunning music video.
“Red” is Tyrxne’s sultry invitation to a special someone, a musical journey that perfectly complements his laid-back style and lyrical prowess. Speaking about the single, Tyrxne shares, “With the lyrics performed in first person, ‘Red’ is an invitation for a young woman to join me for the night! I can be very flirtatious – this track captures that.”
Crafted entirely by Tyrxne himself, “Red” showcases his multitalented skill set. He reveals, “I created the beat and added vocals/finished the track in my bedroom in around four hours. My tracks are quite minimalistic, both production and vocally – for me, less is more. I started with the synth, added drums, the vocal sample that I chopped up and finally the bass. Initially, I didn’t know what concept to go with lyrically, but I pressed record and said the first thing that came to my head: ‘My name’s Tyrone… come say hello.’ The track unfolded from there, as it was quite easy from that point. Everything flowed well.”
