Rising pop sensation YAQI has just dropped her audacious new music video for “I’m On It,” in collaboration with the luxury clothing brand, PRIVATE POLICY.

The vivacious and expertly directed visual showcases inclusivity and Y2K vibes. YAQI has already earned a reputation for herself in China as one of their pop princesses, and with “I’m On It,” she is making a major break into the North American music market. The music, produced by Tadja and penned by Romy Dya, a singer-songwriter and producer, shows YAQI’s sweet vocals and ability to negotiate elegant, sophisticated beats. 

YAQI has dedicated the video to Asian female creatives, who have been stereotyped and ignored for too long. “Moved and impacted by events since the violence towards the AAPI communities during the pandemic, it is time for us to stand up, speak up, and support each other. It is so touching to see the enormous support from other groups.” 

“We wish to show the world and more importantly all the female immigrants and people who feel unseen while working towards their dreams that we see you, support you and you can do it! ‘I’m On It’ is the spirit in many women, we are here to cheer them on!”

The new music video “I’m On It” starts with intricate dance moves that transport us to a different plane of existence–one where style and positive energy are the currency. While YAQI explains how hard it is to find balance in life through her song, she also experiments with this idea through her music video. YAQI explodes with energy and showcases her colorful personality while remaining balanced. The change of outfits and background keeps us locked in our screens. Her love for music and true passion for creative work, especially fashion is exemplified in the music video.
