Alice Pisano emerged in 2018 with one of the brightest entrances onto the scene. Released independently with no label or backing, the debut EP ‘Celebrate Life’ from the London based, Italian born singer-songwriter received praise from a range of radio and online tastemakers as well as immediate editorial support on Spotify, picking up over one million streams in just three months. Alice’s uniquely warm vocal and natural ability for writing emotive pop songs has led her to collaborating with Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Ian Barter (Dermott Kennedy, Izzy Bizu), and Troy Miller (Emeli Sandé, Jamie Cullum).

Latest single ‘Crush’ introduces listeners to a new side to Alice’s sound and songwriting. Produced by John Foyle (Maisie Peters, Years & Years) ‘Crush’ retains Alice’s signature silky vocals, but the uptempo beat and catchy pop melody give this single a more energetic and playful feeling. The new release showcases a bolder, sassier sound in Alice’s output, while the lyrics explore the conflicted emotions that come with a strong, energy-sucking infatuation.

Speaking on the track Alice says, “It’s about having one of those strong crushes on someone that knocks you off your feet, but in an unhealthy way. You’re both in so deep that you live with the fear that the other person’s feelings might not be as strong as yours. You start overthinking, becoming jealous and possessive… It almost becomes like a battle.”

Alice has already seen her work featured by Atwood Magazine, BBC Radio London, BBC Introducing, National Dutch Radio NPO Radio 2, and a host of official Spotify playlists including New Music Friday UK, Soft Pop Hits, and Mellow Morning. ‘Celebrate Life’ and ‘Tears Will Set You Free’ have also entered the iTunes Pop charts in Finland and The Netherlands. With its bright, lush sound, ‘Crush’ is a breath of fresh air and a song that is bound to get stuck in our heads.
