Fresh off the release of her debut EP, Do Not Resuscitate, Los Angeles indie pop singer-songwriter Aly Navarro delivers an intimate soundtrack to life after heartbreak. Across six emotionally driven tracks, Navarro documents the aftermath of ending a long-term relationship, navigating the uncertainty of singlehood, and rediscovering herself in an unfamiliar city. Balancing vulnerable lyricism with shimmering production and sweeping ballads, Do Not Resuscitate transforms personal reflection into a relatable listening experience. The EP is now available to stream and download on platforms worldwide.
Written during one of the most transformative periods of her life, Do Not Resuscitate unfolds like a series of diary entries, each song capturing a different stage of letting go. Opening track “Safe Place To Land” pairs bright synths with bittersweet honesty as Navarro wrestles with the pain of realizing love alone isn’t enough to sustain a relationship. “You Need It More” follows with lush strings and aching vulnerability, while previously released single “Embarrassing” explores the quiet devastation of longing for someone who cannot return those feelings. Later, the fiery “You’re Just A Man” confronts manipulation and emotional imbalance with some of the EP’s sharpest lyricism before the haunting piano ballad “Not Mine To Lose” reflects on accepting that some relationships are never meant to last. Closing track “DNR” serves as the emotional finale, chronicling the difficult decision to walk away from a love that had already run its course.
Aly Navarro has been writing her own story long before Do Not Resuscitate. After beginning piano lessons at just three years old and writing songs by age twelve, she went on to study songwriting at Berklee College of Music, where she continued refining the honest, introspective style that defines her music today. Drawing inspiration from lived experiences, Navarro creates songs that embrace vulnerability without sacrificing melody, earning recognition from outlets including Melodic Magazine, Conversations About Her, and CLOUT. With Do Not Resuscitate, she introduces herself as a compelling new voice in indie pop while offering listeners a heartfelt reminder that healing rarely happens all at once, and that sometimes moving forward begins with letting go.
