Breana Marin is back with another single that captures the atmosphere of the fall perfectly. “Personal,” produced by dbmagic (Mary J Blige, Jeremih), is a mellow, intentional track that crescendos with elements of alt-rock. The genre fluid single further cements Marin as a force to be reckoned with. Written about that tumultuous moment in some relationships when things can’t be unsaid, Marin approaches the song with a vulnerability and candor that’s refreshing and relatable. “Buttons are pushed, lines are crossed, and then someone says something that can’t be taken back or unheard,” Marin explains,“it’s about the breaking point in a relationship where true colors are no longer hidden.”

This latest offering from Marin will be the final single before she drops her record, Songs About Us, next month. If the singles leading up to its release are any indication, this album is bound to be a success. Speaking of success, it’s only right that we mention this phenomenal songwriter and singer has some serious clout in the songwriter community. She’s one of the top-selling songwriters and female artists on Beatstars, and has also written for the likes of Fifth Harmony, Keyshia Cole, Phora, Brandy, and Letoya Luckett. Marin also had her music featured in acclaimed TV shows like Star, Empire, The Chi, and Ghost.

Keep an eye out for Songs About Us, out next month and in the meantime, listen to “Personal,” available on digital music platforms worldwide.
