Following three fresh singles and a creative residency in France, singer‑songwriter Claire Hawkins returns with Between Two Bodies, a four‑track EP steeped in reverie. Blending Irish folk influence with contemporary soft‑rock, the collection serves as both a travelogue and an inner journey — a meditation on movement, memory, and the emotional clarity that comes from slowing down long enough to feel it all.

Written in Canet‑en‑Roussillon, France during the Odyssée Artist‑in‑Residence Program, the EP captures the duality of a traveler’s life: the grounded excitement of a new place and the quiet pull of what’s happening back home. Produced by Hana Elion of Overcoats, the project is windswept and cosmopolitan, carried by Hawkins’s cascading melodies, delicate acoustic arrangements, and wistful vocals that echo the Americana spirit of a modern troubadour.

Harnessing themes of distance, longing, and childhood memory, Between Two Bodies arrived on all major streaming platforms — and on CD via Bandcamp — on June 3rd, 2026.

“These songs came out of a time of isolation,” Hawkins shares. “My artist residency gave me the opportunity to stop and reflect on the constant movement I had experienced in the years of travel prior. I found myself writing about my childhood and my community back home, and the bigger questions behind the choices I was making. In many ways, these songs represent a pivot. They brought me home.”

When she’s not on the road, Hawkins splits her time between Dublin, Ireland and her hometown of New York City. She has performed at iconic venues including Mercury Lounge, Hotel Café, and Whelan’s, building a reputation for intimate, emotionally resonant live shows.

Beyond the stage, Hawkins shares her music through culture‑forward travel videos that document her life as an independent artist. Her YouTube channel has amassed over 3 million views and more than 30,000 subscribers worldwide.

A graduate of NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Hawkins has released three EPs and multiple singles. At the heart of her work is a commitment to community and connection — bringing people together through the shared language of song as she continues her journey across the globe.
