Two-time award‑winning recording artist Crystal Starr returns with her electrifying new single and music video, “Heart Failure.”

Nicknamed “The Girl with the Golden Voice” by The Source Magazine, Crystal channels the bold, glossy energy of ’80s and ’90s pop into a modern, high‑voltage sound. Teaming up with artist, songwriter, and Music and Robots founder Mr. Robotic, she delivers a cinematic heartbreak anthem ahead of her forthcoming album Popstarr. “Heart Failure” dives into the emotional wreckage of a toxic relationship — the kind that leaves you breathless, bruised, and questioning who you’ve become.

“My heart is here for you, no traitor… love stops cold blue, Heart Failure.” The lyrics pulse between empowerment and devastation, capturing the moment when love becomes suffocating instead of saving. “I wrote ‘Heart Failure’ with Keith Harris — known for Black Eyed Peas’ ‘Imma Be’ and Estelle’s ‘American Boy’ — and producer/engineer Renard Hughes,” Crystal shares. “It’s about relationships falling apart because of distractions like phones and social media.”

The track’s glossy pop production contrasts with its emotional weight, creating a sonic push‑and‑pull that mirrors the chaos of an on‑again, off‑again love. “We’ve all been through something similar,” Crystal says. “Heartbreak can feel like you’ve lost a piece of yourself — like your heart is failing you.” Her vulnerable vocal delivery and dark lyrical imagery leave listeners reflecting on the love they’ve outgrown.

The music video amplifies the song’s emotional tension, portraying a love that has slipped beyond repair. As the story unfolds, Crystal leaves space for viewers to project their own experiences — the kind of heartbreak that lingers long after the relationship ends.

Crystal Starr continues to prove she is one of today’s most dynamic entertainers. This year, she performed at Disney’s D23 Expo alongside Anika Noni Rose, the voice of Tiana, singing “Almost There” and “Dig a Little Deeper” in celebration of Disneyland’s upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. She also headlined major festivals including Electric Forest (60,000+ attendees) and Festival La Ballona (30,000+ attendees).

A singer-songwriter, producer, CEO, philanthropist, and founder of Little Voices, Crystal embodies the spirit of iconic pop legends — from J.Lo and Alicia Keys to Aaliyah and Whitney Houston. She has shared stages with Jessica Simpson, Ariana Grande, Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, John Legend, Paul Stanley, Drake, and Lady Gaga.

Following her recent single “Head Over Heels”, Crystal is set to release “Heart Failure” on Friday, October 21st. Pre-save the single now.
