NYC alternative indie-rock band Don’t Believe in Ghosts has just released their latest single, “This Is Paradise.”

This is definitely a song you’ll want to add to all of your Friday night playlists. The track combines state-of-the-art indie-pop production with a modern rock and roll sound, all surrounded by lyrics of finding freedom in losing yourself. Strong guitar solos insist that this track should be played at full volume. “This is Paradise” aligns with the band’s ideals of not letting negative energy put you down because as lead vocalist Steven Nathan says, “Worrying about what other people may think can be draining and debilitating.”

“This song is about the mental pitfalls of self-doubt and pushing yourself till you finally crack.”

– Steven Nathan

“This Is Paradise” is a creative collaboration of the four band members, headed by the writing and mixing production of lead singer Steven Nathan, with co-writing by Morgan Rose from the rock band SEVENDUST. The track also includes mastering production from Stephen Marcussen, who has worked with other musicians such as Halsey and The Strokes. The band holds true to their roots of rock music while bringing in synth inspirations to keep the transitions even more interesting. Nathan’s lyrics are relatable, yet easy to pick up and sing along to.

Don’t Believe in Ghosts, led by singer/songwriter and producer Steven Nathan, rose from his home studio in 2017 and includes Dan DelVecchio on guitar, Alex Goumas on bass, and Ken Yang on drums. Alt Press included the group on their 40 Artists You Need to Hear list, and the band has a song and makes an appearance on the Apple TV+ show, WeCrashed

Stay tuned for a music video to be released on April 20th, followed by a live headlining performance at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC on April 22nd. Listen to “This Is Paradise” here, and stay up to date with Don’t Believe In Ghosts on their website and Instagram
