If you haven’t yet heard of singer/songwriter Nick Leidl, you are missing out. He is a multi-faceted artist as he’s more than just a singer/songwriter, he’s also a comedian, DJ, filmmaker, and entrepreneur.

He only stared writing and performing music since March of 2020, though he was already an established DJ by this point. He’s already carved out a name for himself within the country genre, as his first single “Friend Zone” went to #20 on the iTunes Country Music Charts and #63 on the All Genres Charts. His second single “Something About Her” went to #32 on the iTunes Country Music Charts and #100 on the All Genre Charts.

As a comedian, Nick’s comedy relays his unique perspective of a straight-A student turned strip club owner. He brilliantly finds laugh-out-loud humor in life’s most challenging moments, including his divorce and getting paid in crumpled singles. He combines music into his act and his lyrics will have you humming in hysterics at the water cooler.

This is, of course, evident in his new single “Country Frame of Mind,” an upbeat country song about moving from a busy lifestyle in New Jersey to a slower, more relaxed lifestyle in the country. He sings, “I got so sick of the rat race/ I got sick of that daily grind / I moved out of the city / and got a country frame of mind.”

“Country Frame of Mind” was inspired by the COVID concept that so many people had, and are still having, of fleeing the big city for a quiet existence and turns it into a catchy song that’s relatable to every kind of listener. Sprinkled with Nick’s familiar combo of passionate lyrics and humor, the tune takes you on the journey of a journeyman.

His voice is sweet and rounded and his music is crafted with your average listeners in mind. His openness in his lyrics and his stunning songwriter, melded with his contagious sense of humor, is what sets him apart from the rest and why he is bound the change the shape of country music.
