It’s morning and Ashante’ P.T. Stokes is walking his Siberian Husky. His thoughts are on 2025 and 2026. “Save Your Soul” last year’s single successfully charted across multiple radio formats. “Good News”, a pop rap song available in late March, is already enjoying airplay on radio’s central region markets.
“My Husky always tells me ‘just go outside; you’ll feel better’” says Stokes who performs his vocal artistry as PTtheGospelSpitter. “It does help during the walk to reflect and visualize. I have a number of projects in the works.” The walk provides an opportunity to assess the standing of projects and map out milestones.
Serving the Peace – he is the creative director –the entertainment group that hosts his label is developing a coloring book to augment other merchandise for “Good News”. Early Spring also brings a Gospel only format single for radio to further enhance his brand.
His first docuseries is on the film festival circuit already netting a dozen or more official selections, four wins and four nominations. Stokes is the showrunner and the subject of the series. Serving the Peace is a SAG signatory production house. The production is slated to go into commercial release in late Fall of 2026.
“Save Your Soul” held the #4 position from Thanksgiving through mid-February 2026, peaking at #3 on New Music Weekly’s Top 40 chart. “Save Your Soul” sonically soared to #1 on Christian Voice Magazine’s Urban Gospel and #8 on their Christian Contemporary airplay charts September 2025. “PT” is looking for similar success for “Good News”, a pop rap offering with a taste of rhythm and Gospel that should cheer listeners’ hearts, minds and souls.
“The idea behind the “Good News” coloring book is a creative exploration of us becoming like little children so that we all will see with unabashed and welcoming wonderment, YHWH’s Kingdom of Heaven” says Stokes. The book will interweave the Word with inspired illustrations evoked by the “Good News” cover art.
