Amana Melomé is a Euro-Caribbean-American singer songwriter whose music moves between soul, jazz, folk and global influences. Shaped by a life spent living and creating across continents, Melome’ was born in Germany and raised around the world, and she carries a deep musical heritage. Her grandfather, Jimmy Woode, was the youngest bassist to join Duke Ellington’s orchestra, and her aunt Shawnn Monteiro continues the family’s jazz legacy today. After stepping back from releasing music to focus on motherhood, Amana is returning with a renewed sense of purpose and a new album, Recalibration, due next month. Her sound is intimate, warm, and honest—music made for the moments when you want to slow down, feel something real, and remember you’re not alone.
