Remi Miles is a Nigerian-born, British singer-songwriter, who spent his formative years growing up in the USA.
He spent his youth listening to a vast range of music from rock n’ roll, pop, and soul, to afro-beat music. This heavily influenced his songwriting abilities from an early age inspiring him to pen down lyrical ideas and melodies. His creativity and musical talents flourished when he attended a music college and began to collaborate with producers. When he moved to Brighton, the bohemian aesthetic and modern way of life resonated with Remi Miles daring him to have an active role in the live scene there.
Remi Miles’ latest offering, Moonlight Lady, is a four-track extended-play. He draws inspiration from his love of Noir movies, Neo-noir, and synth-wave pop. The mood of the EP is alluring and seductive, inviting listeners to dance along to the intriguing tracks. Whilst his songwriting is thoughtful, catchy, and distinctive.
The tracks were written and produced remotely during the second summer of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Remi Miles delivers melody grooves in a distinctively shimmering hypnotic style that fuses soul, indie-electronic, and 80’s synth-pop with sensual vocals and a tantalising neon-lights persuasion through the EP.
