Singer-songwriter Marcus Man releases his latest single ‘Relegated’, known for creating his own brand of lyrically focused acoustic indie-rock that reflect on Marcus’s personal experiences and relationships, with the North West-born artist’s latest single ‘Relegated’ being no exception.

The track explores the feeling of being insecure within a relationship, while also metaphorically relating it to football. Backed by effective acoustic guitar lines that draw listeners into Marcus’s inventive lyrical content, the track boasts a charming quality to it as the song develops adding further instrumentation, creating an infectious indie-rock tune with catchy, well-thought-out lyrics and an anthemic feel that’s sure to go down a storm in live settings.

Marcus Man explains the track further “I found it easier to relate how I felt, to the idea of my team getting “relegated”- hence the title. I’m a West Ham fan & ironically this season really isn’t looking too good…I genuinely think this might be the first love song to bring those two concepts together & I think it works quite well- at least in my head anyway!”

The Warrington artist has been performing and releasing music since 2019, gigging extensively throughout his hometown and neighbouring cities of Manchester and Liverpool. 2021 brought a move to London where he has continued this trend. His latest single ‘Relegated’ is the lead track from Marcus’s upcoming 5-track EP named ‘Relegated EP’ due for release in March. With the release of his latest single, his forthcoming EP, and with plenty more gigs planned, 2023 is shaping up to be a busy one for Marcus Man.
