Los Angeles-based indie-pop artist teo tala has released his newest single,  “t-shirt sleeves,” which captures the emotions of young heartbreak. This song transforms a short-lived romance into a spirited soundtrack for moving forward. tala’s use of dynamic tempo shifts and punchy percussion makes this a breakup song that you want to scream-sing instead of cry to.

The song’s energetic instrumentals mirror the frustration and restlessness that often accompany a breakup. His honest lyricism reflects feelings of remorse and regret that often linger after a relationship ends.

“‘t-shirt sleeves’ came from a place of young, short-lived heartbreak. I really wanted to write a song that not only feels like a soundtrack for trying to move on, but is also the perfect track to blast in the car with the windows down when you’re with friends, attempting to let go of someone and moving past the hurt,” says tala. Through this track, tala captures the unique heartbreak that comes from experiencing love with the innocence and naivety of youth.

Born and raised in Southern California, teo tala is finding his place in the indie-pop space. He is known for crafting story-driven songs and creating upbeat music that is representative of Gen-Z’s current romantic culture. His music explores themes of vulnerability, despair, and love. “t-shirt sleeves” continues the themes explored in previous songs such as “understudy” and “last red light.” tala has a talent for articulating emotions that many people struggle to express, helping him stand out in the indie-pop landscape. If you are looking for a song that will carry you through the grief of an ended relationship, “t-shirt sleeves” is a must-add to your playlist.

Experience tala’s heartfelt take on young heartbreak and healing by listening to his new single “t-shirt Sleeves.” Follow Teo Tala on Instagram and TikTok  @teotalamusic, and visit his to keep up with his music.
