Emerging Pop artist, Amava released her single, “Jungle” on June 4, 2021. Growing up, Amava always found herself not quite fitting in.

Having put on a façade of being an extrovert throughout high school, her quiet, timid nature meant she struggled to fully express herself throughout her teenage years. Instead, she focused on learning to tell the stories she collected – transforming anecdotes into blissful musical moments. With the release of “Jungle”, this artist-to-watch is establishing her “wild side.”

About the song, Amava says, “Jungle is about “the empowering space between ending a relationship and falling into someone new. I didn’t want to write a “this person was terrible and I’m gonna be with someone better than you” kind of song because not all relationships end horribly and need some sort of chaotic, upswing rebound. I didn’t want to write a break-up song, I wanted to write about feeling alright wanting someone new”

About Amava

The rising star draws inspiration from pop icons such as Charli XCX, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lorde as well as her small town’s folk music scene to create a rich tapestry of her own. Her music is a beautiful expression of the human condition, detailing love, grief, desire, and loneliness into her expansive soundscapes. “Music is the one place I could always go that was mine and only mine, my safe place, and my home.”
