Pop alchemists AlunaGeorge premiere the video for their new single “I’m In Control” (featuring Jamaican rapper Popcaan) today.

A song about interpersonal empowerment and ownership, “I’m in Control” is the first single to be released from the London duo’s upcoming new album I Remember, which will be released this spring by Interscope Records. Spin praised Aluna’s “uniquely sweet vocals” and called the post-chorus “a mesmerizing breakdown of fizzy, metronomic keyboards,” while Consequence of Sound calls it “a sultry number with dancehall undertones.” Pigeons and Planes writes: “Worlds collide beautifully on the duo’s new single ‘I’m In Control.’ Aluna’s sweet voice opens up the track with a soft melody, while George provides production fusing experimental pop and R&B with hints of dancehall – setting the perfect stage for Popcaan’s guest verse.”
