Since his show-stopping BET Hip Hop Cypher performance in 2015, North Carolina emcee Jackie Spade has had a steady output of new music. Seven projects (mixtapes and EPs) later, the rapper is set to release his long-awaited proper debut album Aurafication on Friday, February 22nd, 2019 via Common Cents Media Group. Today (1/15/2019), Spade shares the music video for the album’s DJ Slim-produced lead single “MIA.”

Produced and directed by Seven Foot Giant, the video stars models Magyn KennedyOliwia Pawelczak, and Derrick Black, and excludes Spade to bolster the “MIA” concept. The movements and transitions were inspired by Half Alive’s “Still Feel.”

Aurafication will serve as the full length follow-up to Jackie’s Eclectic EP, released last month.

Raised in Kinston, North Carolina, Jackie Spade has done his part to showcase his eclectic style since 2011. Best known for his appearance in the 2015 BET Hip Hop Cypher alongside Joyner Lucas, Charles Hamilton and Tink, Jackiehas put out seven projects in since 2011 with material ranging from conscious rap to party music. Jackie also won the Carolina Music Award for Best Hip Hop Artist of 2016. His most recent project, fittingly titled Eclectic, was released in November. With his debut album, Aurafication, set to release in the first quarter of 2019, Jackie Spade wants to challenge his audience to think while enjoying themselves in the process.
