Kinski Gallo, the Mexican-born, LA-based artist and producer, has always occupied the space between worlds. Formerly the high-octane frontman of Monte Negro (Epic Records/Sony), Gallo has spent the last several years carving out a solo path defined by creative autonomy and cross-cultural experimentation. His latest project, Mix Tape 1 (released January 22), is a nine-track testament to that evolution.

The album moves fluidly between English and Spanish, weaving together a vibrant tapestry of pop, electronic, and new wave, all anchored by his Latin heritage. Rather than a rigid concept album, Mix Tape 1 acts as a living archive—a collection of moods, impulses, and sonic textures that capture Gallo’s instinct for rhythmic storytelling. Each track stands as a solo entity, yet together they form a dynamic listening experience that reflects a seasoned artist creating without boundaries.

He curates Divine’s tone with intention: clean lines, honest language, and a commitment to elevating everyday subjects into something quietly extraordinary.
