Spurred on by the success of their debut offering “All This Time”, British newcomers Abbie and The Roses are growing more and more into their own as a collective and with their new release “Hippies”, they are once again out to charm listeners with their alluring sounds.

Their latest release builds upon their alternative pop sound and folk tendencies, with multiple layers of rolling guitars serving as the crux of its rich production plus the uniquely smooth timbre of frontwoman Abbie Rose giving the track its warm, sentimental feel. The band have not put a foot wrong, and “Hippies” arrives as a nostalgia filled ballad that pulls at the heartstrings, defined by deeply moving song writing at the core.

Speaking on their newest release, the band shared: The inspiration for ‘Hippies’ came from reflecting on the modern era and its added pressures, the frustration that the world is far from at peace and how the majority of us are simply caught up in the mess. An escape to a time where love mattered more than political divides, social unrest and social media ‘likes’, when music brought everyone together. The song takes you on a trip to a past summer romance when the world was your oyster and that invincible belief you could take on anything together.”

Since the success of their first release, now on over 100k Spotify streams, the band have been working in the studio religiously on several new songs. They’ve kept momentum going with the acoustic track “I Don’t Wanna Walk” and now “Hippies” serves as the first of a string of releases to come over the coming months from the burgeoning band.

Abbie and The Roses are continuing to build a strong fanbase and as they gear up to take to the road with UK and US live dates with their new material, they are defining themselves as the newest breakout name to pay attention to.
