Elfi’s latest single, “be careful what you wish for,” taken from her new EP 11.11, is a shimmering blend of dreamy harmonies, bold choruses, and raw honesty. With each release, Elfi cements her reputation for turning personal stories into radiant pop confessionals that invite listeners to dance through heartbreak and self-discovery.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Elfi shares:
“Ever dodged a bullet you once begged to be with? I wrote this song after revisiting a restaurant I used to frequent with my ex-boyfriend. All the memories—and the drama—came rushing back, and I realised I’d truly dodged a bullet. Sometimes, you think you know what you want, but you end up grateful you never got it. Plus, it’s my favourite song to dance to.”

Written in London during a moment of clarity, Elfi describes seeing through the “rose-coloured glass” of a one-sided love.

“I was hopelessly in love for months, but one day, my perspective shifted. I saw how he always blamed his circumstances for being unkind. I wished so many times to be with him, but now I know: you need to be careful what you wish for. I’m happy I wasn’t the one for him.”

The track found its final form in Los Angeles with acclaimed producer John McLucas, transforming into a euphoric pop anthem that captures both the relief of moving on and the joy of dancing again.

“be careful what you wish for” arrives ahead of Elfi’s new EP 11.11, crafted between Los Angeles, London, and Amsterdam, and brought to life at the iconic Metropolis Studios. The EP signals a bold new chapter for Elfi—confident, magnetic, and ready to dive into love and its illusions with open eyes.

Elfi’s live shows channel the same honesty and connection found in her music. From sold-out nights at London’s Spice of Life and Amsterdam’s Cinetol to her recent release show at Notting Hill Arts Club, she transforms every venue into a shared, sparkling celebration.

Warm, cinematic, and deeply human, “be careful what you wish for” is the kind of heartbreak anthem that empowers you to dance your way out of the past and into something brighter.
