Los Angeles indie-pop singer Edie Yvonne recently dropped her latest single, “Stain,” a heartfelt yet resilient anthem that resonates with individuals who have faced rejection and intolerance purely for being themselves.

“Stain” begins with a powerful orchestral swell that sets the stage for the emotional musical experience to follow. Edie’s voice is angelic yet haunting, expressing her pain while also showcasing strength in the face of distress. “Stain” was inspired by Edie’s experience grappling with the reactions of others towards her birthmark. With steadfast honesty, she captures the emotions of those who have faced a lack of acceptance for their differences. Edie Yvonne shines a light on the challenges of navigating a world that can be harsh and unforgiving towards those who do not fit the status quo.

“‘Stain’ is my most personal song to date.  I wrote it when I came home from going out for the first time after quarantine and was quickly reminded of some people’s intolerance for difference, particularly when it comes to showing my birthmark in public.” – Edie Yvonne

At just 14 years old, Edie Yvonne is already making waves in the music and film industry from her base in Los Angeles. She developed her first album At Ease, during the pandemic and has starred in multiple short films, such as Kitty, which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival. Fans have much to look forward to as she is currently in the process of releasing new singles.

As a reflection of her commitment to raising awareness through her music, Edie Yvonne is donating a portion of the proceeds from “Stain” to the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation. This foundation provides invaluable support and resources to patients and their families facing the hardships associated with vascular birthmarks.
