Swedish born singer songwriter JANOS spends his time between the streets and pubs of Oslo and London. Fusing beautiful pop melodies, soulful vocals and explosive energy, the pop-punk soul artist delivers listeners with a fresh, contemporary sound. From fragile, heartfelt ballads to funky upbeat anthems, JANOS tells a story relating to the highs and lows of our generation.
JANOS’ message is one of strength and self-empowerment. After years of performing with other bands, the Swedish artist finally took the leap to go it alone, setting him free to create the music that is true to who he is. With the desire to mix organic sounds with elements of R&B, pop and rock, JANOS was able to create an entirely unique sound. Inspired by the likes of Bruno Mars, JANOS’ new work is a combination of Anderson Paak meets Daft Punk. Leading single ‘Zero’ is a positive anthem about not letting negative people bring you down. “It’s not a vindictive song, it’s more like a ‘I do me and you do you’ type of thing”, reveals JANOS, “It’s about maximizing who you are and not listening to haters, fake friends and what society tells you to do”. Recorded on a small island outside of Oslo, the single exudes dreamy and hazy vibes, featuring jangly guitars and glistening electronic synths ‘Zero’ bursts with energy through its mix of sonic soundscapes.
JANOS has found acclaim with numerous notable radio plays, including the BBC, as well as working with famed industry professionals, Jonas Kroon (Cezinando, Anna of the North, Billie Van) and Soulbase ( Admiral P, Fela) on his upcoming releases.
