John Grant has confirmed the first North American shows behind his new album Love Is Magic, out now via Partisan/Bella Union. This will be Grant’s first North American headline run in over three years and will include a stop at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on Nov 30th, his biggest ever headline NYC show.

Tickets are on sale now. Full itinerary below and here.

The album’s title track earned spotlights everywhere from PitchforkNPRStereogum + more. Grant has shared the song’s music video here. Directed by Fanny Hoetzeneder, the canine-friendly clip is a snapshot of unconditional love, soundtracked by Grant’s epic electro-march. Other tracks on the album include “He’s Got His Mother’s Hips” (video here), “Is He Strange” (video here) and “Touch & Go” (audio here).

Love Is Magic was produced by Grant alongside analogue synth expert/collector Benge and Paul Alexander of Midlake. The album fully embraces electronic music in its many forms in a way Grant has only flirted with previously, jumping from ’80s glimmer pop to cheeseball serenades to vitriolic political commentary.
