Sister duo Lavendine invites listeners into a world that feels both celestial and deeply human with their new album, Deep Blue. Produced by the legendary Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Imagine Dragons), the project unfolds like a spiritual odyssey—one that dives fearlessly into the depths of emotion, healing, and faith.
Much like the ocean that inspired it, Deep Blue is vast, mysterious, and transformative. The album explores the places where sorrow meets surrender, where fear dissolves into trust, and where the human spirit learns to breathe again. Lavendine suggests that in the moments when we feel most unanchored, we are often being carried—guided toward peace even when we can’t feel the ground beneath us.
Rather than chasing trends or perfection, Lavendine leans into honesty. Deep Blue pulses with lived emotion—grief, resilience, quiet strength, and the courage to keep moving. It’s a deeply personal body of work that still feels universal, offering comfort to anyone navigating their own storms.
Jana shares, “This album truly embodies my artistic voice. It’s about endurance and overcoming. I hope these songs offer strength to listeners, reaching out like a hand to lift them up—just as God has done for me.”
The title track, “Deep Blue,” sits at the emotional core of the album. Born from grief and spiritual reckoning, it blends vulnerability with release—an invitation to let go and trust the current.
Jacy adds, “We wrote ‘Deep Blue’ after being tossed by grief and disappointment. The song’s message and rhythm carry you, much like life’s trials can pull you into deep waters—yet, in that struggle, what once felt overwhelming becomes the current that brings you to deliverance.”
Lavendine reflects further, “‘Deep Blue’ will always be special to us. When we let go and surrender, as the lyrics describe, that’s when peace finds us. In the deep blue, we discover where God dwells.”
Deep Blue is a rare blend of darkness and light—dreamy yet grounded, introspective yet uplifting. With Mark Needham’s expansive production and Lavendine’s unmistakable storytelling, the album leaves listeners feeling held, understood, and profoundly moved.
