In anticipation of their forthcoming album Love You to Death, Tegan and Sara have launched their album pre-order and released debut single “Boyfriend.”

“Boyfriend” and brand-new track “U-turn” are available for sale and streaming now, and Love You to Death is available for pre-order via all digital service providers. Fans who pre-order Love You to Death in advance of its June 3rd release will instantly receive “Boyfriend” and “U-turn.”

“Boyfriend” has already received rave reviews from fans and press alike. Vulture exclaims “Are there two greater pop songwriters walking this Earth than Tegan & Sara Quin? Not many. And oh baby, they’re finally back with more synth-pop perfection.” SPIN calls the track a “swirling, lushly synthesized confection (handclaps and a f**king killer chorus included),”and Rolling Stone proclaims “The synths beam and blare over thundering percussion, while Sara Quin belts the song’s charmingly cheeky and lovestruck hook.” Stereogum declares “[‘Boyfriend’] continues the Canadian duo’s slide into synth-pop glory that they started with 2013’s Heartthrob.”

As an added bonus for their fans, Tegan and Sara have been working for months to put together a very special line of merchandise inspired by Love You to Death, to be sold alongside the album pre-order. The line, created with long time creative director EE Storey, includes limited edition silkscreen posters with personalized autographs, hats, watches, sterling silver rings, earrings and more. This exclusive collection will go on sale with the album pre-order at 10am PST today via teganandsara.com.

Tegan and Sara have been featured by Buzzfeed in a comprehensive document of the duo’s journey over their 17-year career, from their early days to indie rock success, signing to a major label and performing at the Academy Awards, right up to recording Love You to Death. In the unprecedented music profile, Tegan discloses that the album is about “how debilitating and transformative” relationships can be, including those Tegan and Sara have with each other. The album is a product of their strengthened bond and of being more comfortable with who they truly are, and Buzzfeed identifies it as their “strongest, catchiest record to date.”

Love You to Death, the follow up to Tegan and Sara’s breakthrough 2013 album Heartthrob, was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia, Beck) and features 10 new tracks (see below for full track listing). Tegan and Sara will give fans a sneak peek of their new music at sold-out, intimate shows in Los Angeles and New York City this May (see below for full list of dates).  Additional shows will be announced soon.
