“HEY LOVER” was written and produced by T Barz, Louis Humphrey and Jasmon Joyner. “I’ve always been a fan of “love rap”, the type that we grew up listening to in the 90’s and early 2000’s,” mentions T Barz. “A huge example and inspiration is LL Cool J. He was always so smooth with it, especially when rapping about love or anything involving women. The first time I heard his “Hey Lover”, it was simple but dope on many levels. He talked about seeing someone who he wanted to get to know better and how it was “just a crush”. I remember that track ’till this day word for word, because that’s one thing we can all relate to…love or crushing on someone at some point in our lives,” she adds. “My song is similar, as the vibe is about hanging out at the club and someone catching my eye.”
