LaToya Cooper is one of Dallas, Texas’ brightest rising stars in music. Her sound is influenced by pioneers such as Nancy Wilson and Anita Baker, as well as contemporary luminaries like Mary J. Blige. She got her start in local bands, opening for reggae superstars such as The Wailers and Jimmy Cliff at the Austin Reggae Fest. Latoya took a break from music and went on to earn three consecutive degrees, including her MBA. She returned to music shortly thereafter to record her debut solo project, the Eclectic Soul EP, released in 2015. Latoya recently became a member of the Grammy Recording Academy this year, and was nominated as Soul Tracks’ 2017 New Artist of The Year.
