The Highway Women released their new single “Stand Up and Fight” to all digital retail outlets Friday May 24, 2019.  “Stand Up and Fight” was written by Sean Gasaway (Bluewater Music Publishing), 2Steel Girls & Buffy Lawson. The single features Sara Ann Garrison, Kristen Kae, Amanda Pruitt & Laura Rice.  The song has become theanthem of the all female group.

Owner Jill Pavel said, “When Sean Gasaway pitched the song to me, I just about jumped out of my chair.  It resonated everything The Highway Womenare about,  which is supporting all women in country music. The song is powerful and I was very moved.”  The single was produced by Justine Blazer in Nashville who said, “Working with The Highway Women on their lastest single was such a pleasure. I have such respect for these women.  Four powerhouse voices coming together in perfect harmony, grit, sass and power.! This story of this song is that matter what life throws at you, you can definitely make it, as long as you stick together and never give up the fight”.

Two weeks ago The Highway Women announced their National Touring Roster with Sara Ann Garrison (DE), Heather Harper (TX), Amanda Pruitt (TN) and Kristen Kae (KY).  Their tour will kick off at the end of 2019 and will go through 2020.  Kathryn Loewer says, “What an incredible adventure to be a part of themanagement team for The Highway Women.  I am proud to work with theladies, their agents and talent buyers organizing and putting their tour together. This is a dream job and it never feels like work, we are looking forward to announcing their performance dates.”

Supporting other indie female artists is not a catch phrase for the HighwayWomen, they put action behind that statement.  This past year they invited Karissa Ella (Nashville), Jenn Ford singer-songwriter who served in the United States Army (Texas) to record “The Devil” which released 11.30.19.  Laura Rice a former Marine and singer-songwriter was featured on the new single “Stand Up and Fight”.  Laura will also be featured on an upcoming single to be released early Fall 2019.  “The Highway Women have also enlisted ambassadors who will be recognized regionally on the tour.  We look forward to introducing other female indie artists on our tour” said Loewer.
