After premiering their single “This Is How” on The Strombo Show, Version Xcursion (VX) and Amai Kuda release the accompanying music video, directed by Az Heatley. The outdoorsy yet sublime video clip features lead vocalist Amai trekking through open, airy landscapes juxtaposed with the duo engaging a lively video and photo shoot.
This Is How appears on the Toronto-based duo’s forthcoming collaborative release Version Xcursion (VX) presents: Holding Back EP (June 21st) on the SystemEcho Recordings label. SystemEcho Recordings is the product of Bristol, England born Lee Castle aka Sassa’le, a celebrated DJ, producer, and radio host, and songwriter and vocalist Amai Kuda, the daughter of Canadian literary icon Nourbese Philip. The first single “This Is How” from these two musical mavens combines the haunting vocals of Amai over the downtempo emotional productions of Sassa’le, creating a very unique sound and aesthetic.
