James Numbere is an Afrocentric Soul Artist based in London. His music draws influences from R&B, Reggae, World and African music. A human physiologist who quit his job to pursue a career in music, James has already gained support from London BBC Introducing and found an ever growing fan base since he started releasing music in 2017.

In 2018, inspired by the work of the charity Operation Smile (a charity that performs life changing surgeries on children in mostly third world countries with cleft lips and palates), he released a new single ‘Smile’ to raise funds and awareness about the cause.

This year, the London Community Gospel Choir (who not only have performed for the Queen and the Royal Family several times but also performed with stars like Luther Vandross, One Republic, Justin Timberlake, Gregory Porter, Pink, Tom Jones amongst others) have lent their voices to James Numbere’s single ‘Smile’. The result is a poignant version of the song.

“A smile is contagious and with this video I hope it brightens the day of anyone who sees it, leaving them smiling by the end. Regardless of age, race or background, let’s smile even in hard times. Life is too short to live with constant worry.”
